CompDRILL device avoiding delamination in composites materials
We developed an innovative device for multi-material drilling. The CompDRILL unit allows you to drill a metallic and composite assembly without generating delamination on the back face. This manual device is suitable for operations requiring high quality with minimum training.
It also avoid delamination on single composite plate drilling, even without any back plate! CompDRILL is perfectly suitable and gives to operator a full repeatable process allowing to reduce oversize repair and increase repair/manufacture quality. The CompDrill is approved in Structural repair manual (SRM) for A350 repairs.
